THE ARTIST: Alcide Sartori
(1953)
This is a selection of paintings painted by Alcide Sartori, an artist born in Montreal du Gers, a little town in the South-west of France, where he lived till the age of ten. In Italy he graduated as an art teacher at the P. Selvatico in Padova, after which he attended and concluded his painting studies at the "Accademy of Fine Arts" in Venice. He has been teaching and is now teaching at the Istituto Comprensivo in Loria, not far from Treviso. He has
partecipated in various contests, gaining critical success, moreover, he has taken part in various collective exhibitions. He has always been interested in the word of image and colours. A feature of this painter is the periodic change of his proposals, in a continuous means of communication through forms and colours. He has also measuread vim self with the reproduction of famous paintings, producing some quality "dedications". In his latest years ha has used his abstract art as a means of personal expression, where forns, but
especially the colour becomes exponential in charge of magnetic energy, where the light becomes the real protagonist of the picture. The artist uses very thin brushes for his paintings. In fact all the shades of colour he produces, reveal an emotional vibrating presence. In the totallity of his opera, a clean colour and balanced composition can be seen, giving the painting a captavating strength.
