O SURICILLO E CASA

A sera ca’ tu’ te ritire a sta’ casa
cierche e mettere a chiave dint’a maschiatura

chi sta’ all’atu lato da rinte a chist’uscio

cu e zampetelle aizate e cu’ l’uocchie c’abbrucia

Tu guarda o pertuse addo’ isse mo’ trase
tu saie addo sta’ ma maie te fa’ danne
mo’ e gia’ amico tuoie o suricillo e sta’ casa

THE LITTLE HOUSE MOUSE

Every night as you return to your home
you try to put your key in the door lock
you are in a hurry and want to get inside
but you can’t find the key hole because is dark

With the noise of the key it makes like a hiss
and you hear a sound like a scratching of a walnut
who is listening on the other side of the door
the little mouse waits and he now hears your voice

You open the door and turn on the light
He see you and than he runs scared
with his little paws lifted and with burning eyes
he scratched his face and runs where it is dark

You are looking at the little hole where he just went in
you know where he is but he is never any trouble
he is now your best friend the little house mouse
so let him live for another hundred years
