A PENSIONE

ce’ vonne e lente e macchine dinte e recchie
e accorto ca’ n’affunnimme stu’ cazone

Dicimme fessarie e nun ce’ credence
e facimme tant’e chelle cose strane

THE PENSION

The years go by and has we get older
the body slows down for aging reason
we need reading glasses and hearing aids
and we have to be careful not to wet our pants

We say stupid things and no one believes us
and we do all kinds of crazy things
we hide and take things and no one sees us
and we pray the Lord to give us a tomorrow

The government forgot about us, our children too
we are now left alone with no comprehension
with pain, without help and without a family
what you going to do now with this pension money.
