Castello di Gòdego si trova in provincia di Treviso ed è capoluogo di comune del mandamento di Castelfranco Veneto, da cui dista 4 km. Conta circa 7000 abitanti e si estende su una superficie di 17,98 kmq ad una altitudine di 51 m sul livello del mare. Gli abitanti sono denominati "Godigesi". Confina con i comuni di Loria, Riese Pio X, Castelfranco Veneto, San Martino di Lupari. Dista da Treviso 37 km e da Bassano del Grappa 17 km. Oltre alle strade, il treno (linea Venezia-Trento), corriere e autobus, collegano Castello di Gòdego a tutti i maggiori centri del Veneto. Sono presenti grossi insediamenti industriali come la Breton spa, la Jolly Sgambaro, la Simec e altre prestigiose aziende come la Cimm, la Silvestri F.lli, l'OMP, la Marigraf e laboratori artigianali di varie produzioni. Per chi arriva a Castello di Gòdego, non cerchi il castello, o resti di questo, è stato distrutto nel periodo delle lotte Ezzeliniane con i padovani nel Medioevo, solo una torre, sopravvisse fino alla fine del 1700. Il paese è stato scelto come sede di vacanza dalle grandi famiglie veneziane dal Rinascimento al 1700, le quali fecero edificare varie ville, lungo la via Regia ( o postale dell'epoca) attuale via Roma e G. Marconi che attraversano il centro storico dell'antico abitato castellano. Comunque il Luogo vanta una storia molto antica, da insediamento paleolitico, a guarnigione romana, a insediamento di punta relativo al castello di Ezzelino da Romano, al dominio veneziano e purtroppo a varie distruzioni negli anni. Sul territorio sono presenti numerose associazioni, che rendono vivo il contatto con la cittadinanza con riunioni, dibattiti e proposte culturali. Il centro Culturale presso la Villa Priuli è molto attivo. Esiste sul territorio un'area protetta chiamata "Prai", tra i comuni di Castelfranco V.to e Riese Pio X. - Castello di Gòdego è gemellato con Boves (Italia) e con Labastide St. Pierre (Francia).
