Chiesetta di S. Pietro The small Church of St. Pietro
Nel 719, la chiesa viene restaurata, recuperata dai resti di un precedente manufatto che risaliva al 681. Di quel giorno solenne resta ancora visibile qualche piccola croce incisa sulle pareti; rimane soprattutto la testimonianza del ritrovamento di una cassetta di reliquie posta nella mensa dell'altare.Questa cassetta rimase nascosta per dieci secoli, dimenticata da tutti. Nel 1742 fu demolito l'antico altare e la cassetta fu ritrovata, con l'iscrizione ben leggibile. Non sono tuttavia le modeste opere che arredano la chiesetta a toccare l'animo di chi la visita, bensì la sua "vetusta" semplicità, che porta il pensiero dei fedeli alle origini del cristianesimo nella nostra terra.
In 719, the church was restored from the remains of a previous construction which dated back to 681. From that solemn day some small crosses carved in the walls can still be seen and the remains of a box containing relics, evidence found placed on the table of the altar. This box was hidden far ten centuries, forgotten by everybody. In 1742 when the old altar was demolished, the box was found still with the inscription legible clearly. It is the modest arwork which furnishes the small church that touches the visitors sove, but its old simplicity that takes the thoughts of the devotees back to the origins of Christianity in our land.
